Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation check-ins with professionalism and friendliness
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication between guests and kitchen staff
- Deliver food orders swiftly from the kitchen to tables, maintaining proper food handling and safety standards
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Support the kitchen by helping with basic food preparation, dishwashing, and cleaning tasks as needed
- Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, providing information about menu items or restaurant policies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction throughout their visit
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as host/hostess, server, or food runner preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including order taking, serving, and cash handling using POS systems like Square POS
- Knowledge of food safety standards, dietary accommodations, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with beverage preparation, catering events, banquet service, or delivery driving is a plus
- Strong communication skills combined with excellent guest relations abilities to create a welcoming environment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order processing and transactions
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as lifting trays or cleaning duties
