Entry Level Lab Tech/Chemist- Contract Packaging Manufacturer, Gardena, CA
Work Days/Shift: 1st shift, Monday thru Friday. 6am to 2:30 pm ; Overtime possibility
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of bulk and finished product samples according to SOPs.
- Prepare and submit accurate analytical reports in a timely manner.
- Calibrate and operate analytical instruments to analyze samples correctly and promptly. Will be running HPLC and/or other analytical equipment.
- Record and update instruments run logs and maintenance logbook.
- Prepare analytical standards and solutions used in the analysis.
- Perform MDL, LOD/LOQ studies, and other QC requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of professional workplace standards, conduct, and expectations in a laboratory environment are Required.
- B.S. degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred but not required.
- 0-1 years of laboratory experience preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 80+ (corrected) wpm on physical keyboard required for consideration.
- Recent Graduates are encouraged to apply; Minimum grade of A- in Organic Chemistry semesters 1/2 required for new graduates with no work experience.
- Handwriting ability, fine motor control, working memory and memory recall will be assessed on-site prior to hire.
