This is a contract, onsite-only opportunity working full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week), with placements available at a single school or itinerant between two locations in the Niceville area. Age groups range from Pre-K through post-secondary (up to age 22), and specific caseloads will be discussed during the interview to ensure the best fit for your skills and preferences.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health Provisional SLP License required
- Strongly prefer prior experience in a school-based setting
- Comfortable providing onsite services—virtual/remote options are not available
- Ability to adapt to working either at a single campus or across two schools as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely documentation
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the educational planning process
- Maintain compliance with state and district policies as well as credentialing requirements
Important Credentialing Note:
- Fingerprinting is required; candidates with prior prints via the AHCA Clearinghouse may be eligible for expedited clearance
- A JLA badge will be required and may take up to 10 business days to issue once fingerprints are approved
