Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors and skill development
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure effective outcomes
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other essential self-care tasks
- Support clients during therapy sessions by providing reinforcement, prompting, and behavior management strategies
- Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring accurate documentation in medical records and care plans
- Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, and families to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions and progress tracking
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education techniques, medical terminology, and behavior management strategies
Experience
- Must hold a current RBT Certification
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles is advantageous
- Strong skills in data collection, documentation, and medical record keeping aligned with HIPAA standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members in a compassionate manner
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of care plans related to behavioral health or special education settings is a plus
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and commitment to supporting individuals with autism or other developmental challenges
