The Reading Room is a New American Restaurant in Manhattan. We are looking for a Line Cook for a mix of day and night shifts.
Our menu showcases seasonal cuisine, American classics, international
favorites, and and craft cocktails.
Your Responsibilities:
*Ensure consistent execution of company policies.
*Manage labor in house and kitchen waste.
*Teach our Core Values to all new hires and existing team.
*Develop and promote learning for all back of house employees.
*Uphold the highest standards of food safety, food handling and sanitation requirements
to ensure the health and safety of staff and guests.

Qualifications
*2 years of Back of House management experience in high-volume, fine-dining
restaurants
*Excellent culinary knowledge
*Strong verbal communication skills
*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
*Consistency of product
*Commitment and genuine passion for hospitality
*Must be knowledgeable of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
* Full and open availability to work days, nights, and weekends
