Provides comprehensive secretarial support to the Chairman and Department Administrators to include a variety of duties including but not limited to maintaining schedules, answering phones and maintaining a log, organizing travel arrangements, depositions, reimbursements, departmental ordering, correspondence, presentations and manuscript presentation, compose/transcribe/distribute faculty meeting minutes, complete faculty references, coordinates functions of the Chairman's Office including faculty recruitment, credentialing and faculty appointments.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or five to ten years secretarial experience preferred
Experience in an academic setting
Experience in a healthcare setting, hospital, medical office or other provider organization
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY:
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, graphics; knowledge of medical education process, vocabulary; good telephone manners, interpersonal and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; mature judgment; willing to accept responsibility for tasks beyond scope of job description if required to meet Department's global mission/needs.
