About the Position: Client is seeking motivated Civil Engineering professionals to join our growing team. Whether you are an entry-level designer with an Associate or Bachelor’s degree or a Licensed PE with management experience, you will play a critical role in creating engineering plans for a wide range of civil projects. You will work closely with project managers and clients to take projects from initial site visits and data gathering through to technical specification and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Drafting: Create detailed engineering drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software, specifically AutoCAD.
Technical Analysis: Perform essential engineering calculations and analysis to ensure all designs comply with local regulations and industry standards.
Project Documentation: Prepare technical specifications, reports, and detailed cost estimates for various construction projects.
Site Evaluation: Conduct site visits to gather necessary field data for design development and project accuracy.
Collaboration: Work alongside project managers, engineers, and clients to understand and execute project objectives; participate in design reviews and provide technical input.
Project Management (Level Dependent): For senior-level candidates, manage project lifecycles, budgets, and mentor junior staff to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
Technical Skills: Proven knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD preferred) and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on teamwork and stakeholder interaction.
Organization: Ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously with high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensure: New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred for mid-to-senior level roles.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in civil design or a background in management for lead positions.
Software: Proficiency in advanced civil engineering modeling or surveying software.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
