Duties
- Install, service, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant lines and drainage components.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication.
- Manage field service operations efficiently by scheduling repairs, documenting work performed, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to transport tools, equipment, or parts to job sites while adhering to safety protocols.
- Handle ammonia refrigeration systems with specialized knowledge of refrigerants used in commercial cooling applications.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and system performance for ongoing property maintenance.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with familiarity in installing or maintaining HVAC or mechanical systems.
- Service technician experience in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) units.
- Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical drawings, and HVAC design principles.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and appliance repair.
- Mechanical knowledge related to boilers, welders' skills for equipment repair or fabrication, and general property maintenance expertise.
- Field service background demonstrating ability to work independently in diverse environments while maintaining safety standards.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating specialized equipment such as ohmmeters or welding tools is highly desirable.
