American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and adult care experience for a night shift position at a hospital in the Manatee County, FL area.

Dräger ventilators used — experience required

Cerner EMR used — experience required

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required — CRT candidates will not be considered

Minimum 2 years of experience in a US hospital respiratory therapy setting

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA-issued only)

Active, unrestricted license required — no pending licenses accepted (license required if applicable)

Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluation, management, education, and rehabilitation of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities

Duties encompass obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies

Clinical responsibilities include application of medical gases, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, respiratory pharmacology, and hemodynamic cardiovascular support

Certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
