Job Overview
Haven Home Management is seeking a reliable house manager for a busy family of 5 in La Jolla, California. They will help keep their home running smoothly as well as support with daily logistics of their three children (boys ages 13, 12, and girl 5).
Schedule: Monday and Wednesday 1-6 (10 hours), with opportunity for more hours during busy weeks. Occasional weekend help required.
Daily Tasks:
- Reset the home daily: tidy main areas and toys, dishes, trash/recycling, sweeping/vacuuming, wipe counters and surfaces, organizing, general tidying
- Dishes and kitchen upkeep
- Laundry (wash, dry, fold, and put away)
- Transportation for children to and from after-school activities
Weekly Tasks:
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Amazon returns and drop-offs as needed
- Dry cleaning pickup/drop-off
- Help keep the household running efficiently overall
On Occassion:
- A couple of hours here and there entertaining the youngest child (independent and easygoing)
- Help some additional evenings and weekends when dad is working
What We're Looking For:
- Comfortable and confident driving with children in the car
- Warm and easygoing with kids across a range of ages (pre-teen to young child)
- Highly organized and proactive, notices what needs to be done without being asked
- Trustworthy and respectful of family privacy
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Prior experience in household management, childcare, or a related role preferred
Compensation: $25-$28
Mileage: Reimbursed at $0.725/mile
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
