Responsibilities
- Implement individualized care plans and behavioral interventions based on ABA principles to support a child with profound autism.
- Assist child with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, toileting, and other self-care skills.
- Collect and analyze data on behavior patterns to monitor progress and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with team to develop consistent approaches that promote skill development and behavior management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Use behavior management techniques to encourage positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors in a patient and respectful manner.
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Experience assisting children with ADLs and implementing behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers.
- Patience, compassion, and a proactive attitude toward supporting child‘s growth and well-being.
