Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of front-of-house staff. Your leadership will help create a welcoming environment for guests while maintaining high standards of food safety and service.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff to ensure efficient operations during shifts.
- Host lead in front, taking reservations and ensuring guests are sat and assigned to servers.
- Provide training and support to new employees on food safety, handling procedures, and customer service best practices.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including processing transactions accurately and maintaining financial records.
- Oversee catering services and banquet events, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in budgeting for supplies to maintain operational efficiency.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order management and reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management is preferred.
- Familiarity with catering operations and banquet services is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and basic budgeting skills is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Culinary background or experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
