We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by sanitizing fixtures and replenishing supplies.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed to ensure high-quality appearance.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks in various settings while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with facilities maintenance duties including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain facility standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred; commercial cleaning experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation is essential.
- Knowledge of residential painting or porter experience is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
