Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick and pack customer orders using barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools safely to load, unload, and transport inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts, updating inventory management systems, and ensuring proper storage of materials.
- Prepare shipments by packaging products securely according to safety protocols and shipping standards, including labeling and documentation.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders using RF scanners and barcode scanning for logistics.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all manual handling activities.
- Support warehouse distribution operations by stocking shelves accurately, performing quality control checks, and ensuring order fulfillment meets company standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution center is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery safely.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, RF scanners, barcode scanning technology, and basic math skills for order processing.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, manual handling, shipping & receiving processes, and PPE use.
- Experience with order picking & packing, stock replenishment, quality control inspections, and adhering to safety protocols is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or similar leadership background is a plus but not mandatory; we value proactive team players eager to grow their skills.
