Taylor Behavioral Health Service is seeking a passionate, creative, and motivated Lead Teacher to help develop and lead our THRIVE Children's Program.

As our Lead Teacher, you will play a key role in developing the program, planning daily activities, mentoring staff, and creating an environment where children feel supported, engaged, and excited to participate each day.

Position Summary
The Lead Teacher will oversee the daily implementation of the THRIVE Children's Program by developing engaging activities, supporting participant success, and providing leadership to program staff. This individual will foster a positive, structured, and welcoming environment while helping guide the continued growth of the program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging daily and weekly activity plans.
- Lead structured group activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
- Create age-appropriate experiences focused on life skills, STEM, arts, recreation, social development, and community engagement.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to program staff.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants.
- Encourage positive peer interactions and support social skill development.
- Assist with planning community outings, themed events, and seasonal programming.
- Maintain organized activity spaces and ensure materials are prepared for daily use.
- Communicate effectively with families and program leadership regarding participant progress and engagement.
- Collaborate with leadership to continue expanding and improving program offerings.
Qualifications
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, Recreation, Human Services, or a related field.
- Pennsylvania Teaching Certification preferred but not required.
- Minimum of one years of experience working with children in educational, recreational, nonprofit, or youth development settings.
- Experience leading groups and supervising staff is preferred.
