Plant Operations Leader

- Salary: $118,000 - $130,000 base salary + 10% bonus
- Schedule: Full-time | On-site Plant Leadership Role
A growing manufacturing facility is seeking a Plant Operations Leader to oversee daily manufacturing operations, execute production plans, and develop high-performing production teams. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, quality, productivity, employee accountability, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS to drive operational performance.
Candidates with experience in paper, film, extrusion, converting, specialty materials, chemical processing, web handling, or other continuous manufacturing environments are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, production, and throughput goals.
- Execute production plans while monitoring operations and responding to production issues in real time.
- Lead daily production meetings and communicate priorities across operations.
- Analyze production data and plant KPIs to improve operational performance.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with plant procedures and standard work.
- Coach, develop, and hold production teams accountable for performance.
- Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS to resolve production challenges.
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve process stability and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, productivity, downtime reduction, quality, and yield.
- Serve as the backup to the Production Manager and gain broader plant leadership experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Engineering preferred).
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience leading frontline production teams and driving employee accountability.
- Experience executing production plans and managing daily manufacturing operations.
- Understanding of Manufacturing Operating Systems (MOS) or daily management systems.
- Strong understanding of production KPIs including OEE, throughput, quality, safety, downtime, scrap, yield, and productivity.
- Experience using production data to drive operational improvements.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
