We are currently seeking a motivated and hardworking Heavy Duty Tow Truck Driver to join our team. While experience is a plus, we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heavy-duty tow trucks efficiently and safely.
- Provide towing services for a variety of vehicles, including commercial trucks, buses, and other large vehicles.
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergency situations, ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
- Secure vehicles for transport using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, including mileage, time, and any additional charges.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on tow trucks, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Double, Triple, and Tank endorsements.
- Clean DMV driving record with no major infractions or accidents.
- Proximity to tow yard or willingness to relocate within a reasonable distance.
- Ability to operate heavy-duty tow trucks with both manual and automatic transmissions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operator.
- Familiarity with towing equipment, such as winches, cables, and hooks.
