Schedule
Shifts are typically 2-4 hours Weekend morning and evening availability required.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, exercise, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment for pets
- Assist with pet grooming, including bathing, brushing, to keep animals comfortable and healthy.
- Skills
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain dogs and other pets of various sizes and temperaments
- Experience with dog training techniques and understanding canine behavior cues
- Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary assistant is highly desirable
- Knowledge of pet grooming practices and pet sitting responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for moving supplies or handling large animals
- Compassionate attitude with a keen eye for animal care details and safety protocols
