We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and continuously improve our safety, health, and environmental programs at our Tennessee manufacturing facility.
Position Summary
The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. This role works closely with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, tooling, and quality to ensure stable and reliable production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for fineblank, forming & Secondary Processes.
- Lead root cause analyses and corrective action activities to resolve process-related issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, control plans, and SOPs..
- Support new product launches and process validation activities.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination, and efficiency improvements.
- Conduct time studies, capability studies, and process audits.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
- Provide technical support to production teams and assist with operator training.
- Monitor and improve process capability, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience (automotive or metal forming/fineblanking preferred).
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with process analysis, SPC, capability studies, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in Robotics/CNC PreferredProven ability to lead EHS programs and influence safety culture
- Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to identify systemic issues
