Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Department Operator to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing the efficient movement of goods through shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining seamless warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will help us meet customer expectations, optimize inventory management, and uphold trade compliance standards. This candidate must have a strong work ethic, ability to multitask, and work in an organized and detailed manner. Duties included but not limited to organizing the freezer, loading customers’ orders, and safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP and USDA requirements.
As a Shipping and Receiving Technician, you will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
You will utilize your core skills in shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments. Your premium skills in forklift operation and pallet jack experience will enhance efficiency, while relevant skills such as packaging, stocking, and supporting daily operations. Responsibilities
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving within a distribution center or warehouse environment.
- Understanding of HACCP principles and practices is a plus
- Forklift and pallet jack experience required
- Familiarity with order fulfillment and picking and packing procedures.
- Strong basic math skills
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory management software, such as an ERP system
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts (certification preferred), reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners
