Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production & Import Coordinator to support the end-to-end operations of consumer product manufacturing, importing, and distribution. This role is key in order receiving, bill of material planning, inventory check, procurement, coordinating production schedules, managing supplier and freight communications, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Order management / Production planning
- Coordinate with domestic and overseas suppliers to manage production timelines and updates.
- Track production progress from development through shipment and delivery.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to prioritize and align production schedules with demand forecasts.
Importing & Freight Operations
- Act as the primary point of contact with international freight forwarders and shipping companies.
- Coordinate container bookings, shipping schedules, and ensure accurate documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, B/Ls).
- Monitor incoming shipments and work with customs brokers to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
- Resolve issues related to port delays, demurrage, documentation errors, or freight discrepancies.
Inventory & Logistics Coordination
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials and finished goods.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage inbound/outbound shipments and warehouse transfers.
- Support demand planning and stock replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock.
Vendor & Supplier Communication
- Maintain consistent communication with overseas factories and third-party suppliers.
- Follow up on open purchase orders, monitor production quality, and confirm ETAs.
- Address and resolve production or shipment-related issues with vendors.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all products meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Manage documentation related to compliance, testing, certifications, and technical data sheets.
Administrative & Reporting Support
- Update ERP systems and production tracking reports with accurate and current data.
- Prepare regular production status updates for internal teams including sales, customer service, and leadership.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in production coordination, import operations, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping processes, Incoterms, and working with freight forwarders/customs brokers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and ERP/production tracking systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Drive)
- Experience with website process
- Ability to analyze spreadsheets and generate reports to support decision-making
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the manufacturing and molding materials industry.
- Understanding of warehouse and distribution operations.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
