Registered Nurse Operating Room
Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Pay Rate: $ 2,800 To $2,920 /week
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day Shift, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Experience: Minimum 2 years required

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract opportunity in Carbondale, Illinois. This role supports CVOR and operating room surgical care during day shifts and requires strong perioperative nursing experience, call coverage availability, and the ability to collaborate closely with the surgical care team.
Responsibilities
Provide skilled nursing care in the cardiothoracic operating room
Assist with CVOR and operating room procedures within scope of practice
Prepare patients, equipment, and surgical environment for safe procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team members
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and follow surgical safety standards
Requirements
Active Illinois Registered Nurse License Required
Minimum 2 years of CVOR or Operating Room RN experience required
BLS/BCLS Certification Required
ACLS Certification Required
Must be comfortable with day shift, required call coverage, and floating within scope and competency
