Afternoon Enrichment Lead Teacher

Monday–Friday | 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Position Overview
Moonbow Child is seeking a warm, creative, and organized Afternoon Enrichment Lead Teacher to lead our mixed-age Afternoon Enrichment program for children ages 3–7.
This role is centered around creating a calm and engaging afternoon rhythm for a group of approximately 10–12 children while implementing Waldorf and Reggio Emilia-inspired enrichment experiences through creativity, movement, nature, and hands-on learning.
We are looking for someone who deeply enjoys children, values protecting childhood, and can hold a peaceful, well-paced environment that feels both nurturing and inspiring.
Responsibilities
- Lead a mixed-age afternoon enrichment classroom from 1:00–4:00 PM
- Create and maintain a consistent daily rhythm
- Implement enrichment experiences rooted in creativity, nature, movement, and practical work
- Foster a calm, warm, and engaging classroom environment
- Support children socially and emotionally through the afternoon transition
- Collaborate with leadership and classroom teachers
- Prepare and maintain materials and shared spaces thoughtfully
- Participate in school community events and seasonal rhythms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with preschool and early elementary-aged children
- Waldorf and/or Reggio Emilia experience or interest
- Experience leading:
- Handwork
- Painting
- Earthwork or gardening
- Yoga or mindfulness activities
- Chalk drawing
- Nature-based creative experiences
- Strong classroom management rooted in warmth and connection
- Calm, dependable, and collaborative presence
- Ability to hold rhythm and structure while remaining flexible
