Duties
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patient conditions, including vital signs and overall health status
- Administer medications and manage medical documentation in compliance with home healthcare regulations and HIPAA standards
- Help with household tasks like cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment
- Ensure compliance with all home health agency policies and home & community care standardsQualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient safety protocols
- Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) required; First Aid certification is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical caregiving tasks effectively
- Excellent patient observation skills combined with compassionate caregiving abilities
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, end-of-life care, and hospice practices preferred
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with team members
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required depending on the assignment
