Job Description:
Zentek Homes is looking for a reliable Construction Helper / General Laborer to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is hardworking, dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working on residential construction and remodeling projects.
Construction experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person if they have a strong work ethic, show up on time, follow directions, and take pride in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers, carpenters, trades, and field staff on active job sites
- Help with jobsite setup, cleanup, material handling, and organization
- Load, unload, and move tools, materials, and equipment
- Perform basic construction helper tasks as directed
- Assist with punch-list items, light demo, cleanup, protection, and general labor
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite
- Follow instructions and communicate clearly with the team
- Represent Zentek Homes professionally around clients, vendors, and subcontractors
Helpful Skills — Not Required:
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Carpentry, drywall, painting, trim, punch-out, or remodeling experience
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Experience working on residential construction sites
- Clean driving record
- Ability to tow, pick up materials, or drive between jobs when needed
Requirements:
- Must be dependable and on time
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift materials and perform physical work
- Must be able to work outdoors and on active construction sites
- Must be respectful, professional, and willing to learn
- Must be able to follow directions and work well with a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be available depending on project needs.
Pay:
$17–$20 per hour depending on experience, reliability, and skill level. Higher pay may be considered for candidates with strong construction experience, their own tools, a clean driving record, or proven ability to work independently.
