Position Overview
We are seeking a Community Support Team Lead Clinician (Licensed or Associate Licensed: LCMHC(A), LCSW(A), LMFT(A)) who is dedicated, compassionate, and committed to the recovery model of care. This role is central to the success of our Community Support Team, providing both clinical leadership and hands-on engagement with participants across Mecklenburg County.
This is a community-facing position that allows you to work directly with participants, families, and partners in the field—helping to guide recovery journeys and support those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and oversight to Community Support Team members.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, individual therapy, and person-centered planning.
- Facilitate weekly team meetings and ensure recovery-oriented, evidence-based practices are followed.
- Develop and implement behavioral and therapeutic interventions tailored to participant needs.
Community Engagement & Support
- Deliver services directly in the community, engaging with participants and their natural supports.
- Collaborate with care coordinators, courts, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support.
- Represent Amara Wellness at community events, forums, and collaborative meetings.
Administrative Excellence
- Oversee service delivery standards, documentation, and compliance with state and agency requirements.
- Monitor progress notes, treatment plans, and service authorizations to ensure timely and accurate submission.
- Maintain strong communication within the team and with external partners.
What We’re Looking For
- Education & Licensure: Current NC licensure or associate licensure (LCMHC(A), LMFT(A), or LCSW(A)).
- Experience: Knowledge of severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, and community-based service delivery.
- Skills: Strong leadership, empathy, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support others.
- Flexibility: Comfortable working in a non-traditional, community-based environment with diverse needs.
- Technical: Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Electronic Health Record systems; strong clinical writing skills.
