Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout each session.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient progress, and relevant medical information with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols including CPR certification and proper sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in physiology, anatomy, pain management strategies, and medical terminology to enhance treatment effectiveness.
- Promote additional wellness services and products that support client health and satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical spa treatments.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess patient needs and deliver effective therapies.
- Excellent client communication skills to build trust and ensure a positive experience for each individual.
- Demonstrated ability to manage patient assessments confidently while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a passion for helping others achieve relaxation and pain relief.
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and pain management techniques to support diverse client needs.
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist along with CPR certification; prior med spa or healthcare experience is highly desirable.
