American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IV Therapy Vascular Access Team position requiring PICC, Midline, and Ultrasound-Guided Peripheral IV competency with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Specialty vascular access unit focused on difficult or long-term vascular access needs
-
Performs PICC, Midline, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IV insertions across multiple units and campuses
-
Patient populations may include neonatal/pediatric, older adult, obese, and renal patients
-
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating to different units and campuses within the state is required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Active WA RN license or valid Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Demonstrated competency in PICC, Midline, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IV insertion required
-
Proficiency in vascular access device management including insertion, dressing changes, flushing, patency assessment, catheter removal, and troubleshooting
-
Experience with central line blood draws and aseptic technique required
-
Epic EMR experience required

Community hospital experience preferred

Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty required for consideration

Provides specialized vascular access services to patients across multiple units and campuses, including those with difficult or long-term IV access needs

Skills utilized include image guidance, procedural time-out protocols, phlebotomy, patient/family education, and Phlebitis Grading Scale assessment
-
Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of the assignment
-
Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months before being eligible, and must reside more than 50 miles from the submitting facility

Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
