Senior Center Assistant
The Town of Marlborough is accepting applications for the part-time position of Senior Center Assistant.
The Senior Center Assistant works under the supervision of the Director of Human & Social Services, serves as the welcoming face of the Senior Center, and contributes to the daily operations and essential functions of the department.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or higher in a service-related field such as Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, and/or Public Health is preferred.
Applicants must have excellent customer service, experience with older adults, and ability to work in a busy setting with frequent interruptions. Prior experience with social services, group activities, community-based programs, and/or municipal work is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and graphic design programs such as Canva is expected. Applicants must hold a valid CT Driver’s License and be able to receive a public passenger endorsement. Applicants must hold the ServSafe certification or be able to receive the ServSafe certification within six months of hire.
The starting wage is up to $23.50 per hour depending on qualifications.
