Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to increase sales and guest satisfaction.
- Manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours and special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold all food handling, safety regulations, and responsible alcohol service policies at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment, preferably with fine dining or hospitality industry background.
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and food industry calculations.
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain relevant certifications prior to employment.
- Experience with food service operations including serving, catering, banquet management or food handling is advantageous.
