Overview
We are seeking a professional Fuel Tanker Driver with a Class A CDL including Hazmat and Tanker certification to join our team. This role involves safely transporting fuel across designated routes (mainly from MT, UT and ID racks back to Terreton area), ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, route delivery, and operating specialized trucks such as tanker trailers. A strong focus on safety, reliability, and efficient delivery is essential for success in this position. The ideal schedule would be Thursday through Monday(willing to negotiate). We offer competitive rates of pay with benefits. Pay is a combination of per mile, load/unload, wait time and other incentives.
Duties
- Operate tractor-trailers including tanker trucks to deliver fuel to customer locations and our own bulk plant storage facility
- Load and unload efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation of loads, unloads and vehicle logs
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations related to commercial driving and hazardous materials transportation
- Expected to monitor loading/unloading activities for entire duration.
- Ensure all drops are in the appropriate tank at the appropriate location.
- Maintain legal logs and hours at all times.
- Keep bill of ladings accurate and current during deliveries.
- Document accurate tank readings.
- Deliver all log and inspection information weekly to office personnel.
- Ensure truck, trailer and associated equipment such as hoses and fittings are clean and in good working order.
- Report any incidents or mechanical issues immediately to management
Skills
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement required (Doubles and Triples preferred)
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers
- Proven driving experience in commercial settings with a focus on route driving and delivery logistics
- Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to transporting hazardous materials
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic troubleshooting on trucks and trailers
- Good communication skills for coordinating deliveries and maintaining logs

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
