Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education setting. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social interaction among children
- Manage daily classroom activities, transitions, and routines to promote smooth operation and effective learning experiences
- Assess each child's developmental progress through observations and standardized testing tools; tailor instruction to meet individual needs
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians by providing regular updates on their child's development and behavior
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in compliance with childcare regulations and mandated reporting laws
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, special education initiatives, early intervention strategies, and behavior management plans
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques
- Proven experience in preschool teaching, daycare or childcare settings with toddlers or young children
- Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with special education practices and literacy education methods for early learners
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds including those requiring additional support such as special education or early intervention services
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in childcare environments
- Experience with Montessori or other specialized teaching approaches is a plus; familiarity with standardized testing is beneficial
- Passion for early childhood education combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children
Pay: $15.00 - $26.35 per hour
