Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Foreman with 5+ years of experience to oversee and manage all aspects of pool construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all phases of swimming pool construction, including excavation, plumbing, rebar, shotcrete application, tile, decking, and finishing.
- Manage and lead construction teams on job sites.
- Interpret and ensure adherence to project blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Coordinate schedules, materials, and resources to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve construction issues, ensuring timely solutions.
- Communicate regularly with clients, project managers, and team members to provide updates and address concerns.
- Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, and progress reports.
- Ensure adherence to local building codes, regulations, and company policies.
- Mentor and train team members to improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of proven experience in general construction, including supervisory or leadership roles.
- Experienced with heavy equipment such as excavators, skidsteers, lifts and forklifts or willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations and protocols.
- Proficient in project management tools and software is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform site inspections and oversee construction activities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel out of town (in company vehicles) during the week approximately 60% of the time.
- Preferred but not mandatory, experience with pool installations and/or knowledge of pool systems.
