Responsibilities:
- Assist optometrist with patient examinations, including taking patient history and documenting chief complaints
- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures such as visual acuity testing, tonometry, and retinal imaging
- Prepare patients for specialized testing, such as visual field testing or corneal topography
- Educate patients on contact lens techniques, care, and maintenance
- Administer eye drops or medications as directed by the optometrist
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)
- Support front desk staff with scheduling appointments and answering phone calls
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of examination rooms and equipment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical office or optometry setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with ophthalmology and pediatric optometry is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Professional demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues

- Monday: 8am - 7pm
- Tuesday: 8am - 5pm
- Wednesday: 9am - 7pm
- Thursday: 8am - 5pm
- Friday: 8am - 1pm
