Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing an exceptional dining experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a memorable experience at our establishment.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor
- Take food and drink orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods
- Assist in the setup and cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables when necessary
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring excellent guest relations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary knowledge and service skills
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments
- Time management skills to efficiently serve multiple tables simultaneously
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services
