About Us
We are a growing golf cart repair and service business specializing in electric (and gas) golf carts. We provide high-quality diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades—including lithium battery conversions—for residential, commercial, and fleet customers. We’re looking for a skilled diagnostician who loves solving complex electrical problems and delivering reliable results.
Position Overview
We are hiring an experienced Golf Cart Technician – DC Electrical Diagnostic Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing DC electrical systems in golf carts and low-speed vehicles (LSVs). If you excel at following diagnostic charts, reading wiring diagrams/schematics, and performing root-cause analysis on batteries, controllers, motors, and chargers, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform expert diagnostics and troubleshooting of DC electrical systems, including batteries (lead-acid and lithium), chargers, controllers, motors, solenoids, wiring, and related components.
- Read and follow wiring diagrams, service manuals, and diagnostic flowcharts to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Conduct repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrades (including lithium battery conversions) on electric and gas golf carts.
- Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, battery testers, and manufacturer software to test and verify repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers about repairs and recommendations.
- Stay current with evolving golf cart technology, especially advanced controllers and battery systems.
Requirements
- Strong background in DC electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics (2+ years preferred).
- Experience with automotive electrical systems, electric vehicles (EV), electric forklifts, marine/powersports equipment, or similar DC-powered systems.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on repair experience (batteries, motors, controllers, etc.).
- Own basic tools
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as a strong problem-solver.
- Prior golf cart experience is a plus, but we value transferable skills from automotive, EV, forklift, or military mechanical/electrical backgrounds. We provide brand-specific training (Club Car, EZ-GO, Yamaha, ICON, etc.).
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Opportunities for overtime, performance bonuses, and growth.
- Paid training on golf cart brands and emerging technologies like lithium systems.
- Positive team environment with a focus on quality diagnostics rather than high-volume basic repairs.
If you’re a talented diagnostician who takes pride in solving electrical puzzles and delivering top-tier repairs, apply today! We encourage veterans and experienced techs from related fields to apply.
