The Vice President, Software Engineering and Applications serves as the senior IT leader for Institutional Solutions, responsible for setting the software engineering vision, defining delivery strategies, and driving business outcomes through innovative, customer-centric technology solutions that support the full lifecycle of institutional products and services. As a key member of the Institutional Solutions senior leadership team, this role enables enterprise growth, enhances customer, consultant, and distribution partner experiences, and advances modernization across Pension Risk Transfer, Structured Settlements, Stable Value, Funding Agreement Backed Notes, and related institutional product platforms. This role provides strategic leadership in the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and advanced automation, to improve operational efficiency, strengthen decision-making, accelerate innovation, and unlock new sources of value across the business. By effectively leveraging information services resources, applications, delivery models, and investment strategies, the VP ensures alignment with enterprise objectives while supporting the evolving needs of institutional clients and markets. Through the development of high-performing talent, disciplined execution, and a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous transformation, the VP advances Mutual of Omaha’s long-term strategic priorities within the Institutional Solutions business.
