Custodian
Duties:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
- Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
- Maintain cleaning inventory, and identify when items need to be reordered
- Remove debris and snow from sidewalks
- Empty interior trash and recycling bins
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- Operate floor scrubber and other equipment
- Dust furniture and fixtures
- Clean and maintain restrooms and shower rooms
- Laundry
- Ability to climb a ladder, lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods of time, etc.
- Notify supervisor of unsafe conditions
Experience:
Previous experience in custodial or facilities maintenance preferred
Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques is a plus
Ability to operate buffing machines and other cleaning equipment is desirable
