Healthcare Resource Network is seeking a PT Occupational Health Staff Nurse and PRN Occupational Health Nurse Coordinator to work in support of Social Security Administration employee health and wellness services located at SSA Philadelphia, PA .
Duties
- Organizes and/or participates in agency health fairs
- Provides health education programs
- Interacts with agency contacts to include meeting attendance
- Supervises other staff
- Orders medical and office supplies for the health unit
- Performs health unit Quality Assurance Assessments for the health unit
- Orients new staff
- Schedules PRN nurses for backfill
- Ability to respond to emergencies
- Provide emergency care
- Provides non-emergency care
- Provides immunizations
- Maintains a high level of professional responsibility and performance
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent SSA policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified
- Adheres to all SSA policies
- Ensures that all health unit staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs
- The essential duties as listed above are not all inclusive and other functions may be added dependent upon certain situations.
Minimum Requirements/Knowledge/Skills:
- Requires computer program proficiency in data entry, use of e-mail, excel spreadsheets and word programs
- Requires ability to push a wheelchair and/or carry emergency bag up and down several flights of stairs in response to emergencies
- Requires ability to provide emergency care, administer CPR/AED on the floor/ground
Minimum Education Requirements/Certification/Licensure:
- RN Licensure
- CPR and AED certification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in occupational health or related experience such as public health/community health, outpatient clinic, school nursing or physician office
- Minimum of 1 year management experience
- Ability to pass SSA security clearance requirements
Schedule: FTE (8) hours per day-(7:00am-3:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm)
