Henry Repeating Arms is a family-owned business that manufactures several lines of classic, well-crafted firearms and a leader in the firearms industry.
Henry is seeking a full-time Quality Engineer Supervisor at our Ladysmith, WI facility. The Quality Engineer Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, testing, and reporting on the quality of products, doing mid-process production inspections, end of line quality checks, and warranty inspections and repairs. Other tasks include testing systems and procedures to ensure that the product and tools meet technical standards and creating quality documentation. They will be responsible for identifying technical issues and getting to the root of the problem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop people, processes, and systems that ensure the highest safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Ensures all products and services meet or exceed government, industry, and company specifications.
- Set detailed guidelines on what needs to be checked and what the quality standards are.
- Determine quality metrics for manufacturing procedures.
- Monitor entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential malfunctions.
- Identify the root of technical issues and recommend fixes.
- Review current blueprints and quality documentation; and adjust as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth understanding of technical documentation.
- CMM Programming experience required (Calypso preferred, but not required).
- Must have exceptional attention to detail.
- Requires self-management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Engineering or related discipline; or 1-3 years related and progressive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
