Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of tile and related materials to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will ensure precise craftsmanship, adherence to safety standards, and timely project completion. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install tiles on floors, walls, backsplashes, and other surfaces according to project specifications and technical drawings.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute tile layouts and installations.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar for secure tile adhesion.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as trowels, saws, drills, and buffing equipment to complete installations efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with building material installation standards and safety regulations related to building installation safety compliance.
- Perform caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and water damage restoration as needed for comprehensive finishing.
- Assist with remodeling projects involving flooring installation, concrete finishing, cabinetry, and painting tasks.
- Maintain a clean work environment by performing floor care, buffing, and site cleanup after each project phase.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of tile laying techniques along with experience in flooring installation and building material installation.
- Familiarity with schematics, fixture installation, caulking, trim carpentry, and restoration industry practices.
- Ability to handle manual tasks involving hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Construction site experience with a focus on water damage restoration or remodeling is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of construction plans and schematics for accurate project execution.
- Excellent manual handling skills combined with a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior handyman experience or construction painting skills are a plus but not required.
