Position Summary
Xcel Fabrication is seeking a dedicated and professional CDL Driver based out of our Idaho Falls facility. This role is ideal for a driver who values a predictable, consistent schedule and wants to be home every night and on weekends.
Unlike OTR roles, this position is focused on a dedicated regional route. You will be responsible for transporting fabricated materials between our Idaho Falls and West Jordan locations a couple of times per week. Your driving responsibilities will involve loads that meet CDL length and weight requirements, with no semi-truck operation involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Transport: Safely operate company vehicles to transport fabricated products between the Idaho Falls and West Jordan facilities on a consistent, recurring schedule.
- Load Security: Ensure all materials are properly secured, balanced, and covered according to DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately to management.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate driving logs, shipping manifests, and required transport documentation.
- Professionalism: Serve as a representative of Xcel Fabrication while traveling and during loading/unloading processes at both company locations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing.
- Experience: Proven experience in a commercial driving role. Comfort with regional travel and heavy-load configurations is highly preferred.
- Safety Record: A clean driving record and a commitment to strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Reliability: Ability to manage a consistent regional route independently and maintain punctuality.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to assist in the loading/unloading process and secure loads as required.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Background Check: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, including a review of driving history (MVR), is required.
- Drug Screening: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and maintain compliance with all company and DOT drug and alcohol testing policies.
Pay: $25.97 - $31.27 per hour
