We are currently hiring for a Material Handler and S&H Specialist. This position reports to the shop floor supervisor and is an integral piece in the job processing pipeline. This position does not require a college degree. Anyone with an aptitude for detailed work and a strong work ethic can perform these responsibilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operating traditional and electric reach forklifts
- Organizing and performing heavy lifts with other employees
- Performing material receiving processes
- Maintaining a raw material inventory system
- Indexing and procuring material needed for jobs from inventory
- Creating shippers and packaging parts for shipment, arranging freight
- Loading and unloading shipments
Skills Preferred:
- OSHA Forklift Certification
- Prior experience in manufacturing services industry
- Material properties knowledge (steel alloys, aluminium alloys, polymers, etc.)
- Skills in Microsoft Excel or other tab & cell-based data processing
- Prior training in safe lifting, rigging, and personal protective equipment
