Responsible for providing assistance in the development, implementation and support of information system projects for the laboratory information system. In addition, will perform routine and complex clinical laboratory procedures, maintains and operates instrumentation and recognizes deviations and provides interpretation following established standards and practices, under minimal supervision. Identifies health and safety concerns and unsafe work practices within the workplace. Is involved in developing safe work practices and is held accountable for the day to day efforts of ensuring a safe workplace by following safe work practices.
BLS required within 90 days of hire and maintained throughout employment. Associates or Bachelors of Science degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field. BS is preferred. ASCP registry or equivalent required, or willing to obtain within 12 months of employment. Experience in Laboratory Information Systems preferred.
