About the Opportunity
A hospital in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Intensive Care Unit on a temp-to-perm basis, starting 9/14/2026. This role focuses on providing high-acuity critical care nursing in a fast-paced ICU setting.
The ideal candidate has strong critical care nursing experience, excellent clinical judgment, and thrives in a high-acuity, team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Continuously assess and monitor patients' hemodynamic and neurological status, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols
- Support vascular access and revascularization-related care as applicable
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff on treatment plans
- Document patient care and progress accurately per hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2 + years of ICU RN experience required
- TCAR (Transcarotid Artery Revascularization) certification required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association – AHA)
- ACLS certification required (American Heart Association – AHA)
- PALS certification required (American Heart Association – AHA)
- AHA Stroke certification required
Preferred Certifications
- CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) certification
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification
- TCRN (Trauma Certified Registered Nurse) certification
