Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to resident rights and the ability to work effectively in various settings, including home care, group homes, and memory care facilities.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior.
- Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following proper hygiene protocols.
- Document care provided and report any concerns regarding client health or safety to appropriate personnel.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and independence while providing care.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction, especially for those with dementia or memory-related issues.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Assist with taking client to his doctor appointments, errands, and grocery shopping.
- Shifts are Monday 7:00am - 12:00pm, Wednesday - Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am - 12:30pm
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health or direct support services. Familiarity with dementia care practices and medication administration is highly desirable. A background in group home settings or memory care environments is beneficial but not mandatory. Above all, a genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care are essential for success in this role.
