Ann Jerkins Harris Academy of Excellence is a K–8 charter school committed to providing students with a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment. We are seeking dependable and hardworking Cafeteria Workers to help support daily meal service operations for our students.
Position Summary
The School Cafeteria Worker assists with preparing, serving, and maintaining quality meals for students while ensuring cleanliness, food safety, and a welcoming environment in the cafeteria. The ideal candidate is reliable, team-oriented, organized, and enjoys working around children.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food serving
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and cafeteria areas
- Follow food safety and health department guidelines
- Assist with stocking food and supplies
- Support breakfast and lunch service operations
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with students and staff
- Assist with dishwashing and cleanup duties
- Report inventory or equipment concerns to administration
Qualifications
- Previous food service or cafeteria experience preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to lift, stand, and move throughout shifts
- Must pass required background checks
