Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that each dish meets our standards of excellence.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation and food preparation for various dining services, including fine dining and dietary department needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process to maintain high standards.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food handling and food service within the culinary field.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food preparation processes.
- Familiarity with fine dining standards is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
