Job description for Inventory Control Specialist
Atlas Filtri North America is seeking a highly experienced Inventory Control Specialist to play a pivotal role in inventory management optimization and to ensure efficiency within the supply chain. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical inventory counts and reconciliation with system records, actively investigating and resolving discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
- Proactively monitor and analyze inventory levels, tracking stock movements across the entire supply chain to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize dead stock, and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Develop and implement strategic inventory control procedures and processes to maximize accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory accuracy goals, identify root causes of discrepancies, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate strategically with purchasing / procurement teams to optimize stock replenishment schedules and ensure timely and adequate supply of materials and products.
- Partner with warehouse and logistics personnel to implement lean inventory practices, optimize warehouse layout, storage, retrieval processes for improved efficiency, and maintain high levels of warehouse cleanliness.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, production, and other stakeholders to align inventory needs with overall business objectives and requirements.
- Generate comprehensive reports and presentations on inventory performance, stock levels, trends, and key metrics for management review and strategic decision-making.
- Lead and mentor junior inventory control team members, fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new trends in inventory management to continuously enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration or relevant experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in inventory or supply chain management, including leadership roles.
- Key qualifications such as a proven history of creating and implementing effective inventory strategies that reduce costs and optimize stock levels.
- Essential skills include a deep understanding of inventory management methods, proficiency in advanced inventory management and strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven expertise in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, or Tableau is also expected, along with familiarity with supply chain management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for presenting information and leading cross-functional teams. The role requires strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for maintaining accurate records, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma and relevant certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP are preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
