Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse distribution activities, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring the safe handling of materials. Your proactive approach will help maintain smooth shipping and receiving operations while adhering to safety standards and best practices in warehouse management.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and other heavy equipment safely to load and unload shipments.
- Pick and pack orders accurately using RF scanners and <PERSON> pick systems to fulfill customer requests efficiently.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while following OSHA safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
- Conduct materials handling activities including stacking, storing, and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
- Support warehouse supervision by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance throughout the facility.
- Assist with inventory management using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels and locations.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
- Certification in forklift operation; experience with crane operation is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards for warehouse environments.
- Ability to operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems effectively.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking.
